Welcome to the Churches of Houghton & Bossington!
Houghton and Bossington are two small villages that lie on the banks of the beautiful River Test in the very heart of the Test Valley in Hampshire. Communities have existed in Houghton and Bossington for over 2,000 years. All Saints Church in Houghton and St James in Bossington are by far the oldest surviving buildings located in what was probably the heart of the original villages.
The Friends of All Saints Church
The Friends of All Saints Church was formed in 1996 to assist the Parochial Church Council (PCC) by raising and managing funds for the support of the fabric of the building. Since then a considerable amount of money has been raised for specific projects and the general maintenance of the church.
The Committee of 10 persons stands separately from the PCC and organises at least one fund raising event a year, which is supported by annual membership and donations. Their role is to ensure that the beautiful 900 year old church will continue to be maintained for the use of the community and preserved for posterity.
